Ø Schools  having full-fledged resource rooms should see that all activities should be carried out in letter and spirit as per CMP guidelines . It is also noted that newly opened schools are carrying out various activities in some of the classrooms as they do not have separate rooms as resource rooms. However the cluster in charge insisted that utilization of resource room should be done adequately laying more emphasis on activity method of teaching.

Ø The second round of health checkup should be completed soon . Schools without doctors are asked to complete the task with the locally available doctors.

Ø K V Kannur has already arranged local field trips for the children. Likewise other schools were also asked to complete this programme at the earliest.

Ø The SA-2 time table is to be prepared after receiving proper instructions from the RO. However it is expected that the exams may commence in the second week of March 2013. SA-2 question papers are to be prepared at the Vidyalaya level only by the regular teachers. However schools without sufficient teacher resource are asked to collect question papers from other schools of the cluster. Eeach question paper should be prepared with lot of care that should have very good quality considering various difficulty   levels , weightage to different lessons and as per the design of the question paper in accordance with CCE guidelines. The question paper should be supported with a blue print and scoring & answer key. Students should be made aware of the blue print of the question paper during structured revision classes.

Ø CCE records are to be maintained properly. With regard to maintaining CCE records it is decided to implement the new CCE formats to the extent possible. However member schools felt that this may be difficult to update the records due to time constraint. However the cluster in charge instructed the schools to implement the recording of CCE as per the new guidelines as for as possible during this academic year itself. However all the schools are instructed to implement the newly developed CCE programme from next academic year without fail.. MrsK V Renuka, PRT of KV Kannur briefed on various aspects of CCE that were discussed in the workshop held at ZIET Mysore.

The 6 page cluster news letter will showcase various activities of each school. Hence the member schools were asked to send the materials (soft copy containing photographs of various activities, celebrations..etc) to KV Kannur latest by 31.01.13.
